Euro 2012: Winner Market Preview

As the Euro 2012 is just few days away we have done an analysis to try to understand which team can lift this trophy.
Spain are the favourites at 3.90. They are the reigning European and World Champions but they come into this match with few problems. The absences of Carles Puyol and David Villa are huge blows to their chances because those are the two areas they could least afford to lose players.

Torres finally scores for Spain

Fernando Torres finally scored for Spain as they comfortably beat South Korea 4-1  on Wednesday for their second friendly win for the Euro 2008 and 2010 World Cup winners before they attempt to retain the European Championship.

Injury worries for England

Manchester City’s Gareth Barry will miss the Euro’s after being forced to pull out with an stomach injury whilst playing in England’s win over over Norway in Oslo last Saturday he was replaced in the sqaud by Everton’s Phil Jakielka.

It’s been a very interesting week as teams are continuing to prepare for Euro 2012. ThePolandandUkrainetournament is now really around the corner and the preparation of the 16th teams involved is reaching the last stage.Englandtravelled toOsloto faceNorwayon Saturday in what turned to be one of the most boring matches of those international friendlies. Despite that it was quite a solid performance for the Three Lions who were able to get a comfortable 1-0 thanks to a goal from Ashley Young in the first half.

England’s Top Goalscorer: Euro 2012

England will head into the European Champions in Ukraine and Poland knowing they will miss their star striker for the opening two matches. Wayne Rooney will missing England’s opening two matches after a silly red card in qualification for the finals. Without Wayne Rooney for the first two matches England will have either Danny Welbeck or Andy Carroll. Both strikers are not in the same ability of the suspended Wayne Rooney but they have ability to causes even the best defences trouble

Rodgers latest betting gamble for Liverpool job

Brendan Rodgers is the latest premier league manager to see his betting odds for the Liverpool job tumble as the northern irishman started the day at 3/1 and at one point was only available at odds of 1/6 to be Liverpool job manager as hunters acted on the news that he had been seen to cut his holiday short by 2 days to meet with the swans chairman to discuss his future. Euro 2012 Warm Up friendlies Review

It has been a positive start for Roy Hodgson as English coach. Nothing sensational but a narrow victory over Norway in Oslo it is something we must be happy with. This match was the first of their two pre-Euro 2012 warm-up friendlies and Ashley Young gave England a 1-0 victory at the Ullevaal Stadium.
