Cesc Fabregas again scored a vital penalty kick for Spain as they were made to work hard for their victory over Portugal in the Euro 2012 semi-final. The dramatic shoot-out win for Spain sees them compete in their third consecutive major tournament final and gives them the opportunity to become the first side ever to retain the European Championships.
The ex Arsenal captain was the hero after scoring Spain’s fifth penalty meaning they beat Portugal 4-2 in the shootout after a tense 0-0 after 120 minutes.
