Premier League Day 1 Betting Tips: 3pm Accumulator

17 Aug

There are six games that will start at 3 PM today in the Premier League Day 1 and we have come up with an accumulator that we hope it will provide an early profit in this new season. Arsenal will take on Sunderland just a couple of days after concluding the deal with Manchester United for the transfer of former captain Robin van Persie.

If last year Arsene Wenger gambled by selling before replacing, this year things have been done much better as Arsenal have already secured proven goalscorer like Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud. No fans in the world will like to see a striker was has scored 30 goals in the previous season leave to go to a competitor club however that transaction made a lot of sense for the Gunners. With a win today against Sunderland they will get the necessary boost and put Van Persie on the back of their mind. Sunderland have signed 34 years old striker Luis Saha to try strengthen their attack. Considering that the hosts have lost just one of the last 17 games against Sunderland I don’t expect any surprise today and I suggest to back Arsenal to win both halves at 11/10.

Fulham with take on at Craven Cottage Norwich who will try to start the new life without Paul Lambert. The Cottagers have been a very reliable team in front of their fans in the last few seasons and considering that they haven’t changed much in the summer I don’t expect this trend to change. I think Chris Hughton will do a decent job with Norwich however he’s got a very difficult task in the first match especially as Norwich did do very well on the road last season and have gone 33 Premier League away games without keeping a single clean sheet. Back Fulham to win at 5/6.

Someone expect that QPR will be challenging for a top half finish in this season however I don’t think this will be the case as I am not sure new signings will fit well in the squad. Swansea have never won away at Loftus road however new boss Michael Laudrup will try to change this to a nation. It will take some time before the Swans players will adapt to the Danish manager and teams may exploit that situation early in the season. I think we will see a very open match but QPR should be able to get the three points and make the home advantage count. Back QPR at 21/20. Reading will try to keep the momentum going as in the last nine games at the Madejski stadium they have had eight wins and one draw. Stoke on the other hand have failed to win any of the last nine games away in the league and I would be surprised if they will be able to change that today. Back Reading to win at 7/5.
