Aston Villa v Everton
Everton have won none of their last 12 Premier League encounter against Aston Villa however should we really make any thing out of those stats? For once I’m not concerned considering that eight of those 12 games resulted in a draw and that Everton will be fully confident after beating title hopeful Manchester United in their home debut last Monday.
I think David Moyes’s men were truly outstanding against United not just because they kept procession and pushed a strong side in their own area but also because they showed a great unit which could really make them the surprise package of this campaign. This is a fixture that always believe goals, 3.6 per game in the last 10 meetings so the over 2.5 looks a solid bet at 11/8.
Manchester United v Fulham
Not many teams can hope to get anything out from the Old Trafford and considering that traditionally Fulham are that travellers I don’t see any room for surprises today. The Cottagers haven’t an score a single goal in the last five visits to Sir Alex Ferguson’s men and have been defeated in all five. Even though this time around they come on the back of a solid 5-0 home win I would be surprised if they will be able to stay in the game after the first 45 minutes. Back Manchester United to win both both halves.
Norwich v QPR
It is rather singular that two teams that have been defeated 5-0 in their opening match will go against each other in the next round. I am sure that whoever is going to lose this one will have a huge support in the relegation market. It is a tough game to call and for this reason I suggest to avoid the match odds market. Looking at the stats though it is very clear to see that Norwich have won four and lost none of their last five games against QPR so if you really want to place a bet on this market then you may want to back the home side. I would rather focus on the goal market considering that the Canaries have kept just three clean sheets on home soil last term whilst Rangers have failed to do so in 16 Premier league away games. For this reason both teams to score at 8/11 looks by far the safest option.
