Arsenal – Chelsea Betting Tips

27 Sep

It will be a fantastic weekend of football ahead of us as for the sixth round of the Premier League we have cracking games. Arsenal will take on Chelsea and Manchester United will host Tottenham at Craven Cottage. Chelsea are currently top of the league and they reached that position by having an impressive run of victories. Although they also had a disappointing draw against QPR they managed to score points weeks in and weeks out even tough their main concern is that their defence looks shaky and the attack is not totally convincing yet.

Roberto Di Matteo’s side also didn’t impress in Europe: after the 4-1 defeat against Atletico Madrid they were dominated by Juventus at Stamford Bridge and deserved to lose. So, they are top of the league but I am not sure they will be anywhere near if they had a much more difficult calendar like for example the one that Arsenal had.

Betting on Premier League

In spark contrast to their London rivals, the Gunners started slowly but in recent games against Liverpool, Manchester City and Montpellier they truly demonstrated that they have improved from last year and that they are a much more solid team that can win against anyone on a good day. Lukas Podolski, Santi Cazorla and Olivier Giroud are settling in well at the Emirates and fans are not naming Robin Van Persie every 5 minutes. The Blues have a great abundance of midfielders creators but lack of punch in attack and it is unlikely that they will be able to cause problems to the organised Arsenal’s back four line. In the past they had Didier Drogba that always gave the Gunners defence difficult times but Fernando Torres doesn’t feel noting like the power of his predecessor and in-form Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker should be control him easily. In fact, Chelsea defenders who should be more worried as Podolski and Gervinho are in very good form and I would be surprising if they will not score at least one between themselves. Even Manchester City defence struggled to stop them and the Ivorian will even be much more confident in front of his own supporters. I think Arsenal will be able to finally get a victory against Chelsea and odds of 5/4 looks valuable. If you would like to bet on the goal market than my suggestion is to go for the under 2,50 as it is likely that Chelsea will sit back trying to hit in counter attack so it may take some times for the Gunners to find the breakthrough.
