England started their World Cup qualification campaign with a professional performance against international minnows Moldova on Friday night coming away with a 5-0 victory in what could have been a difficult night for the Three Lions. Roy Hogdson set out his stall early and thanks to an early penalty from Frank Lampard England ran easily with an easy victory and their first step towards Brazil 2014.

Man City v Chelsea Betting Preview: Community Shield Tip

League Cup Betting Tips: First Round

This season starts early and we kick off with the League Cup first round. The Premier League clubs may not enter until the later on but there are still some big names taking part already including Leeds United, Wolves and Middlesbrough. The first round of the domestic leagues have been put back a week to allow for the Olympics to finish, but with few of this matches taking place around Olympic events travel shouldn’t be an issue.

Rangers v East Fife betting preview

Rangers really do start their new life as they have to cope with life outside of the SPL. The Glasgow based club was kicked out of Scotland’s top division due to financial irregularities by the SPL and will begin this season in Scotland lowest tier of football the Third Division.  They have managed to keep old of their manager Ally McCoist who will look to rebuild this once famous old club and will begin in the League cup against Second Division East Fife.

Steven Pienaar Returns to Everton for £5 Million

Tottenham midfielder Stephen Pienaar has agreed to rejoin Everton ready for the 2012/13 Premier league season after a disappointing 18 months spell at Spurs. the midfielder is now 30 and has signed to the club where he made his name after returning on a loan deal in January meaning effectively only played for Tottenham for one year and while many would regard his time there is a failure he did show some glimpses and reminded Everton fans what they were missing in certain games including his good performance against Manchester United.
